Camelott® Internal Slave Sounder
The Camelott® Internal Slave Sounder ensures lockdown alerts are delivered clearly inside classrooms, corridors, offices, and reception spaces — giving staff and pupils unmistakable audible and visual warnings even when they are away from the Master Call Point.
This unit is built for clarity under pressure: high-output audio, a bright internal beacon, and site-wide synchronisation so everyone receives the alert together.
The core activation remains independent of Wi-Fi, 4G and building networks. Where required, the same lockdown event can also be reinforced with
PC screen pop-ups, mobile notifications and screen text display messaging to reduce hesitation and ensure the instruction is read as well as heard.

Overview
The Internal Slave Sounder activates the moment your Camelott® Master Call Point or Remote Keyfob is pressed.
It provides a clear siren and bright internal beacon indoors, helping your lockdown instruction reach classrooms, staff areas, corridors and visitor zones with no dependence on cabling, Wi-Fi, or mobile coverage.
Because alerts are synchronised across the site code, occupants receive the same signal at the same time — reducing confusion in busy corridors, shared spaces and multi-room environments.
For organisations that require additional confirmation, Camelott can also layer in PC, mobile and screen text display messaging so the instruction appears in writing alongside the audible and visual alert.
What Makes It Different
- Independent by design: the core alert remains operational even if IT systems fail or networks drop.
- Designed for live buildings: wireless deployment avoids disruptive cabling through walls and ceilings.
- Expandable without replacement: add more sounders, call points and buildings without starting again.
- Multi-channel clarity (optional): reinforce the alert with written messaging on screens and mobiles.
Key Features
- High-Visibility Alerts: Loud internal lockdown alarm combined with a bright visual strobe beacon.
- Instant Response: Rapid activation via Master Call Point or mobile keyfob triggers.
- RF Integrity: Secure signalling fully independent of building IT infrastructure.
- Uninterrupted Power: Battery powered to ensure operation during site power outages.
- Battery Options: Powered by 2 × D Cell or 6 × AA industrial battery sets (depending on configuration).
- Site Synchronization: Synchronized alert patterns across linked units for consistent recognition.
- Multi-Channel Messaging (Optional): Can support PC pop-ups, mobile notifications and screen text display for written instruction site-wide.
- Zero-Disruption Install: Wireless design eliminates the need for cabling through walls or ceilings.
How the Internal Slave Sounder Works
- Activation: Lockdown is triggered by the Master Call Point or remote keyfob.
- Signal Propagation: The secure RF network sends the activation signal site-wide.
- Synchronized Alert: All Internal Slave Sounders activate together across internal blocks.
- Reinforcement (Optional): PC screens, mobile devices and text displays can show a matching lockdown message.
- Response: Siren and beacon signal occupants to follow site-specific lockdown procedures.
- Secure Reset: The system is reset via the Master Call Point security key.

PC, Mobile & Screen Text Display (Optional)
For sites that require written confirmation alongside the audible and visual alert, Camelott can provide an integrated messaging layer.
When a lockdown is triggered, designated zones can display a matching instruction on PC screens, mobile devices and screen text display signage.
This is commonly selected for visitor-heavy environments, shared-use buildings and campuses where consistent instruction is essential.
The RF sounder remains the primary activation method, with messaging added as a reinforcement layer where required by your risk assessment.

Installation
Internal Slave Sounders are typically positioned to provide fast recognition in classrooms, corridors, reception areas and high-traffic internal zones.
Because the system is wireless and battery powered, installation can usually be completed with minimal disruption — no trunking runs, no invasive works, and no dependency on building IT teams.
Camelott can complete a site survey to advise on placement, coverage and expansion planning based on your layout and safeguarding procedures.
